Welcome, I'm from Utah too. What part of the area? Hope you get some awesome beer... What type of beer are you thinking of brewing for your first attempt? Oh now I see you say 'layton' up above... do you pronounce it layuhnn or layton? I'm an all grain brewer that uses a linux embedded controller for my HERMS rig... If I recall correctly, Layton is right up there by Hill Air Force Base, right? I've been gone for many years now. I don't live in Utah anymore, but I graduated from the now non-existing Granite High School, in Salt Lake City.

I have to admit, I miss the mountains!

I am also in Layton, by Valley View golf course. There are a couple of brew clubs in the area O-Town Hop Heads meet once a month and a new club is forming at Hill. Union Station Fermentation on 25th street just opened and has good prices for brewing supplies.

I am also from Utah. Orem area. I like my puppies cooked medium lol. I just got into brewing as well. I am about to start my 3rd batch.

I like my puppies well done... LOL.. I think for my first beer I want to do a pale ale... I love a good pale ale and It sounds from all of my research like a good place to start...

Cfonnes - I would love to come to a brew club meeting. Where do they meet and what days?
