How's it goin'? I'm just getting into brewing as of recently, so I figured a forum would be a good idea to check out. I haven't had a chance to look around here too much, but I saw that there's a beginner's forum, so that's good news. I'm sure I'll be able to find some info here on making some good beer.

welcome to the forum. i'm new myself, and you should know that ther is a freakin' library of information here. Not quite as user friendly, but just do a search on anything, and chances are, there is something already posted about it. I haven't even posted much myself, because I find answers to my questions by searching other posts/threads. lots of veterans here who know a lot...

Welcome Andrew. You will find a lot of very knowledgeable people here. And you may even have some fun.

Just to get your feet wet, so to speak, I will point you to the single best source on the Internet for a beginning home brewer to learn the ropes. When I found it I could not stop reading it, then I found out that it is one of the definitive sources for the home brewer, and is quoted quite often. It is John Palmer's online book called How To Brew. Click on the link to check it out. He also has 2 newer versions in hard copy, and I recommend that you pick up his new third edition that was released just this summer, but the online version is more than enough to get you where you want to go.
