New from Athens, GA!

Hey yall. I'm a 19yo college student at UGA here in Athens, GA. I've always been interested in home brew, but when I went back home for spring break, i saw a kit. Apparently a client of my mom gifted it to her along with some plastic mr.beer bottles and a keg so i decided to get started. It was a true beginner's setup, but man it smelled great during bottling! Going to upload pics and edit in here in just a minute. It was an IPA with a bit of brown sugar added in during the tail end of boiling wort. Glad to be here and hope i can continue to learn from this forum! Next time i want an irish red .....with a real setup

Awesome! Welcome to the obsession! You've certainly come to the right place. There are a lot of great folks here with a wealth of knowledge.

You're in a great situation right now. Get yourself a good imperial stout or mead recipe. Those will be great to age until you are 21. Cheers!
