Greetings,

I got into home brewing a few months ago after I was gifted an amateur kit for Christmas. It did not take long for me to fall in love the process and the results. I'm stationed in a quiet little suburb that's only twenty five minutes away from New York City. When I'm not falling head first into this hobby turned obsession, I am a ceramic sculptor who mainly dabbles in freelance work. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to marry my work with my home brewing to create a successful collaboration, but until then I am flying by the seat of my pants.

Hope to see some of you out there in the forums!

Welcome, and nice work! I'm sure with a creative mind like you have you will find very cool ways to bring your art into your brewing habit.

Unique labels immediately comes to mind. Sculpted tap handles or bottle openers are other obvious targets for inclusion.

Good luck, have fun, and hope to see you hanging out here lots more!

Not sure where in NJ you are, but there's a small group of us who have started a club in bergen county. We meet the first tuesday of every month (this coming tuesday) at The Dog and Cask in Rochelle Park at 7:30. Usually a decent group of 10 guys or so, tasting through each others beers, offering critiques, helping each other with recipes and other fun stuff. If you are nearby, feel free to stop by, we are usually at the large high top table to the left when you walk in.
