Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is matthew, i am from Columbus, GA. I work full time and a student at CSU. Been interested in brewing beer for a while and finally got around to buying my first kit and actually started fermenting yesterday. But i look forward to asking everyone a bunch of questions and learning more about the art of brewing.

Hey Matt,
I am new here as well. I've been home brewing since 2007 and it's addictive. It's a great hobby and one of a very few to where, if done properly, actually saves you money. If you are taking college classes get some extra Biology and chemistry credits (lol)! They will help a lot in your new brewing hobby!

Cheers!

Hello Matt....

Lived in Albany for 8 years and have a place way up in Blairsville that we visit several times a year. Live full time in Florida.

Look at the Homebrewers Association web site. You'll find the state laws listed somewhere... If I recall, the annual limit for homebrew per household in the State of GA is 50 gallons. Federal limits are 100 for 1 person, 200 max and most states follow those guidelines. I do remember the politics in GA... I wasn't surprised with the limits in the state when I read them.

Good luck to you, and have fun brewing.
