Hey Everyone-

I just thought I would take a minute to post my first thread. As stated in the post title, I am new to the brewing world and just kegged my first batch of beer (Hoppiness Is An IPA - Brewing Classic Styles). I couldn't have had a better experience during the brewing process and am very pleased with the results. With that being said, I would not have been able to get to this point without all of the information that I came across on this site, and I owe several of you my gratitude. So thanks for all of the great discussions, and happy brewing! :mug:

Welcome to Home Brew Talk and the passion that is Home Brewing.
Hoppy Holidays from Big Rapids!
Another Michigan Brewer, check Brewspace and join the Michigan Mashers group.

Bay City, my home town, went to John Glenn there... so very long ago.

Glad to see that there are a bunch of MI homebrewers on here!

BrewerinBR I'll be sure to check out Brewspace, but I want to get a few extract brews under my belt before I go to AG. Nice work on the Brew Room btw and glad to see you stocked it with MI beers! Kudos!

My empty bottle collection, I have over 300 bottles ... no kegs so I bottle everything. Lot's of reasons to drink Michigan beers ... Bell's and Founders and New Holland and Arcadia and Mount Pleasant, and Shorts, Michigan Brewing Co. just to start. There are so many great Michigan beers and so little time to drink them... If I buy beer it is normally Michigan beer ...

Happy Brew Year!!!

I definitely agree with you on drinking MI beers. Lately I've been partial to Short's, Founders, BARTS (formerly Lumber Barons in Bay City), and of course my first homebrew!

Happy Brew Year to you also! :D
