I like to brew beers that I can make 2 kinds from 1 batch.

For instance I have the following bottled.

Cream Ale / Vanilla Cream Ale
Double Chocolate Stout / Double Chocolate Stout with Cherry
American Wheat / Raspberry American Wheat
American Brown / Honey American Brown

I need some more ideas from the forum. Remember, I only do Ales at present.

Thanks in advance

Do a partigyle with the first beer being a little stronger.
Barleywine/APA
RIS/Dry stout
etc.

I love splitting any 5 gal into 2 batches, then using 2 different yeasts...makes 2 different beers! Liquid vs Dry or Dry vs Dry. Just fun experimenting how big a difference the yeasts make.

Also consider dry hop vs no dry hop, once again 2 different beers.

Dittos on the dry hopping. A variant of that would be to dry hop with different hops or amounts in each split. I just finished a wheat that was split half onto blueberries and half onto pineapple and oranges. Earlier this year I split a stout and put Irish Mist Liqueur in half at bottling. MMMM........ WOW!

I have enough ingredients to make another American Wheat beer and I have on hand K-97, Munich and Safeale 06. I think I will try splitting the batch and using 2 different yeast.

I am thinking K-97 and Munich.
