Check out the Chugger pump on ebay. I use it and don't have any issues. I had a 10% off ebay code, so I got it for $90.

+1 on the chugger pumps, they are nice and quiet when running and you can't beat a $100 pump that has a stainless steel pump head.

They sell them on the internet. , and no, they are not self priming.

No, none of these pumps can pull a vacuum on air in the inlet side. The entire liquid path from your donor vessel to the pump, including the pump head, must be flooded before you turn it on.

Chuggers! Even a couple of Bobby's sight gauges, for good measure.

If you use the high heat silicone tubing, you can squeeze it to help with priming.
