Close the valve at the c02 tank. Purge the release valve. Close the gas out valve(small bar with lock screw) purge again. Then open the gas again all the way( black grip) and slowly open the gas out valve again until you get to your serving pressure. If that won't work your regulator might be bad.
 
Or, or,,, the beer is releasing pressure as the CO2 comes out of solution, increasing the gauge pressure. If the beer is burst carbed or getting warmer the CO2 could come out.... There is a small chance that a metal shaving is stuck under the diaphragm of the regulator, that is letting gas slip through.
 
I think it was the co2 coming out of solution. Got it balanced after a while. Thanks folks!
