I am brewing a Belgian Wheat today and I got distracted during my sparge and sparged with 5 gal more than I needed. Not sure what to do now. Should I put an extra few gallons on the BK and just boil for longer? Is it bad to boil for 3 hours plus?...I could also add DME I suppose. Whats my best course of action? I havnt yet reached my pre-boil gravity but will be ready to boil in about 15 mins.

Thanks

Boil down to what you think is a respectable OG (say 1040 -1050) and then make the best of it, dont add anything from the BK, boil with the lid off.

I decided I am going to go 1.5gal above desired pre-boil volume and boil for as long as it takes to get my OG up. probably 180 min boil today...

Be sure to adjust your hop additions for the longer boil:)

I ended up boiling for 160min and had approx 1 gallon less than I should have by the time my OG got to where it was supposed to be. No big deal in the end I suppose
