P.S. I noticed your tree up there. I refuse to let my wife put ours up until the month at least begins wit the letter "D".

Hot Scotchy's RULE! Particularly on snowy brew days!
It was very nice. A little sweet for my taste but definitely warming (takes the edge of brewing in the garage in winter).
There is a solution for you if the regular Hot Scotchie is too sweet - wait to drain the wort into your cup until after the first hop addition! Done it, and it wasn't near as repulsive as I thought it might be. I did prefer the non-hopped version though.
I have a friend who's dying to try it with rum, but in my opinion, sweet + more sweet just won't cut if for me. The Scotch provides the balance, and that's why it's one of the bestest things on the planet in my opinion!![]()
