Hello.

I have been a member of the forum for a little while, I am sure it says just how long in the status to your left. I have been brewing since a little before that sign on date.

I am the type of person to completely immerse myself in any subject I'm interested in. A fault to my personality is based on that. Over the years, all 28 of them, I would start a hobby or idea only to let it fizzle out over the next couple weeks. On the positive side it has led me to discover that I am a musician, an artist, a photographer (majored in that one) and a couple other things. I am still very active in these other things but I still hadn't found something that "fit".

So I had been tossing around the idea of making a batch of beer, but didn't want to be the guy who used the kit once and then stored it. I tried to plan out the first and second batch and was set to stick with it but was worried it would fizzle quick. I bought a Carboy, Bucket, and some small stuff from a guy a work with. A week or two....ish later I made a Kolsch and I am sure you can find the thread I started in a panic with newbie questions.

I was hooked.:D I haven't started any other hobby. I've learned more about brewing than I ever thought possible and see no end in sight. I have met my goal of 50 gallons before 2011 and have started on my new goal of 50 gallons before the end of February or Febrewary as I call it.

So that's it. I have gone from bottling to keging and am building a keezer with a Holiday 5cu ft freezer. From dry yeast to 2000ml flask on a DIY stir plate. From extract to a DIY 5 gal MLT with rotating sparge arm. Now I am going from 5 gallon batch to 10 gallon.

So that's it. Really this time. If you actually read all of this I am suprised and thanks for the interest. Sorry I type like a robot.

Thanks to everyone who has helped, argued, and encouraged me.:mug:

Welcome! You've made it to the right place. This is the best place for home brew info on the internet I believe.

I also am setting a goal for myself for 2011 of 120-150 gallons in 2011. I brewed 60 gallons in 2010.
