Not sure yet I'm sold on using one. I built this after reading a bunch of threads here with some great builds. Decided to make one myself. Used for the first time this weekend. Not sure if it's more trouble than it's worth or not. I kind of prefer the wide open kettle than having this thing in the way. It certainly worked to keep hop particulate down though.

Anyway, it's made with 1/2" type L copper and a small stainless bowl I cut the bottom out of. I also made a spanner type thingy to sit in the bottom of the bag to keep it spread out and open for a more free-floating hop environment in there.

Total cost was probably like 15 bucks with the majority of that cost in the copper.
