I'm just about finished with my new keezer.. My last keezer had a 2-tap tower through the lid.. which was very easy and quick to do.. but I never really liked it.. it was always a PITA to open the lid and change out kegs.. (tower hit the wall, so I always had to move it around to open it up.. ) plus it could only hold 3 kegs..
I put a collar on the new one.. I ended up building the collar out of Oak and pine.. Glued to the rim of the freezer using clear silicone.. I'm not a carpenter by any means, so my joints are the tightest things you'll see.. I could have probably done better if I had a planer, or if I had done a finger joint instead of a miter.. but I'm happy with it..
I can put 10 kegs in this one, so lagering and pipeline management is going to be much easier..
It's got 4 inter tap flow control faucets.. and internally 8x secondary regulators -- one of which drives a 4x splitter.. (thats right! 11 gas lines.. a little over kill, maybe.. ) I piped the main CO2 line through the back of the collar using brass fittings so I don't need to keep the bottle in the keezer..
I'm stoked!
only thing really left, is to put some insulation around the inside, and get a drip tray for the front.. (oh.. and probably run at least one line for nitro.. )
