Ok, so after checking out this thread I decided to finally give AG a try. I figured the best way for me to do this was to use a recipe I already like and make often, converted over to AG and see what happens... so how does this sound for an American Pale Ale? Any feedback is very appreciated.

American Pale Ale

WYeast 1332 Northwest Ale


2nd Cascade (0.50 oz.) in for 3 min steep.

3rd Cascade (1.0 oz.) dry hop for 14 days in secondary.

I am not sure about the recipe. Someone with more experience with recipe formation can say something about it. What I think you should do though is instead of using a recipe that you like that has been converted to AG, use a recipe that has been tried and true for AG that you like. There are many American Pale Ale recipes. This way you wont have any pre concieved ideas of how it should taste. Just my 2 cents.
