Hi all,

I have an old freezer I would like to convert in fermentation chamber for one carboy.

I need to remove the tablet but it look's like they are running the freezing agent??

Anybody have seen this before? I'm not sure what to do. Is there anything I can do to remove them?

Thanks for any help !

Yes, that last picture is the key one, showing the evaporator as part of the wire shelf.

In situations like this the brave (and/or naive ;)) s l o w l y and carefully bends the evaporator to a vertical orientation up against the back wall, being obsessively careful not to kink the tubing.

Before you bother giving that a try, do some measuring to make sure you would be able to fit your fermentation vessel inside with the evaporator in the back. No sense going at this if the resulting usable volume won't fit your fermenter. Then measure the length of the shelf front-to-back and make sure you'll be able to bend it up and back without getting hung up on the "ceiling" of the fridge...

Cheers!

Trying to decide if I'm brave or naive. :cross:
