my beers 2 colors... why?

my beer has been fermenting for 4 days and now it has about a one ince discoloring at the top a darker liquidy brown and the rest is a hazy amber what could be going on

The yeast in suspension is starting to settle out.

Layering is pretty common as fermentation slows and the yeast starts to settle.
