Mulching hops?

We are expecting our first frost tonight. Should I go ahead and cover my hops plants with a covering of mulch? Is mulching just the mound enough? They are in a raised bed if that matters. Thanks in advance.

Yes you should mulch them, but that's to protect against the hard winter deep freezes. The early season frost won't hurt them a bit.
