So I have been extract brewing for about 2.5 years and made about 6 full 5 gallon batches. Anyhow I am now getting more and more into the hobby and I was to move into all grain brewing. However along to road I want to hit all types of brewing and my next step is BIAB.

I was looking at northern Brewer and they only have 3 gallon BIAB recipes. I have an 11 gallon kettle and wondering if the all grain recipes work for BIAB?
Thank you for the responses

As mentioned BIAB is an all grain method and works very well if you are looking to keep your all grain brewing equipment footprint to a minimum. I would read a bit more on some of the BIAB threads in this forum to get more info on how it all works. Lots of good info and folks here to help you on your way.

Any recipe will work if using BIAB.

Most recipes seem to be tailored with a 70-75% BH efficiency in mind. As with any setup you will need to adjust the grain bill based on your own sytem's efficiency. For me that means reducing the grain bill on most recipes. That is the main adjustment to a recipe that you would need to do.

Traditional full-volume no-sparge BIAB method also adds some pH considerations to the mash with lighter grain bills.

The NB 3 gallon BIAB kits come with a scaled recipe kit for a 3 gallon batch. The percentages are identical to their 5 gallon batches. Kind of a misleading way to sell a BIAB bag. Got me. I bought two of their BIAB bags and use both as a double bag in every brew.

My first BIAB attempt will be a NB All Grain 5 gall kit. New 10G Spike Brew kettle just showed up today. NB Kit arrives tomorrow. We'll see.
