Watching the video it looks like some moron in a silver van break checks the guy trying to get to the right. The silver van starts out in the left lane in the very beginning.

Yeah some of the peoples reactions are funny, the guy in the Passat that was happy to watch for a wile, then he jumps in this car and takes off like a bat outa hell. Or the guy that turns around and drives the wrong way down the freeway to go up the on ramp.

The MORON driving the hazmat load is at fault. He speeds way the hell up in between 2 vehicles, giving him no out. He is lucky to be alive.

It looks like he is going faster than he should for that truck, sure, but he is decelerating as his is between the two vehicles, and the force he hit the van with means that the van was on the brakes HARD. I can't see if there was an accident ahead of them that forced the van to break like that, but it sure looks like the van/bus was going to miss it's exit and instead of taking the next one and turning around, tried to slam on the brakes to make his exit.
The moron is in the van/bus.

The box truck or whatever does seem to come out of nowhere, but any driver, much less an idiot driving enough flammable sh!t to kill a small town, should be a LOT more defensive.

Yup. Like I said, it doesn't look like he even touched the brakes - at least, I didn't see any brake lights come on. The guy was driving like he wanted his truck to explode.
