Hi guys, long-time lurker, first-time poster. I've searched the forums and can't quite find what I'm looking for. I just started homebrewing last summer, and since school's been going (I'm a teacher) I haven't had much time to brew a third batch. So being the ignorant noob I am, I didn't make sure my tubing and bottle filler were completely dry before storing them. Now I have some mold in both items. Is there any way to get rid of it without having to replace them? I have to order everything I need for brewing because of my geography (Northeast Mississippi). Any advice is appreciated––thanks!

Generally speaking, I would probably replace them. Tubing is cheap. Bottling wands aren't expensive either.

That being said, try soaking them for a few hours in a PBW (or similar cleaner) solution (be sure to get them full of liquid). Then run some of the solution through them for a few minutes. After that, soak them in sanitizer (again, fill them with liquid) and run sanitizer through them for a minute.

Thanks. Think I might just go the replacement route. Just ordered a new kit from AHS so I'll have at least 6-7 weeks to replace them

I've wound up with the same problem with the tubing.lil bottler tube combo for my Cooper's micro brew FV. White grainy stuff in the tubing. I have an aquarium cleaner brush set that I can soak-n-scrub the lil bottler tube with, but the tubing's gotta go. Homer cheapo & blowe's has the clear tubing for cheap.
