I'm interested in experimenting with doing IPA's with a single hops, but I'm not really interested in doing single malts.
What I have in mind is this:
85% US or UK Pale malt
6% Cara-pils (body)
6% Crystal (Color/sweetness)
3% wheat for head retention
I would then FWH, then do 60-45-15-0 minute additions and dry hop, getting to around 60-70 IBU's combined.
I'm sure that some hops are well suited for this, but I'm mostly trying to find the ones that *aren't* (in an effort to avoid them).
Any ideas or thoughts?
