Melvico wanna be ?

OK, so a friend of mine has a load of thick acrylic, wondering if anyone has tried doing a DIY Melvico bottler

I physically have a Melvico and love it,

Am thinking about trying to do a DIY of it for about 175 give or take, that way I can at least share locally primarily cause of the abundance of local acrylic

My current build costs are:


"Main Block" : $FREE (well, couple of 6-packs lol)
"Butchered" Guitar Stand : $12
3x 1/4" Stainless Ball Valves : $19
Toggle-clamp : $25
1/4" Low Pressure Gauge : $6
CO2 dual gauge (co2 bottle interface) : $59
Gas Ball Lock connector : $7
Liquid Ball Lock connector : $7
2x Tubular Mounts (toggle clamp and Main Block) : $4 each
CO2 hose : $10
Liquid hose : $10
Silicone washers : $1

Anyone else who knows the Melvico Counter Pressure Bottle Filler see if I'm missing anything (sanity check)?

dang sight cheaper than wensel's @ $300+

the guitar stand arrived today (along with lots of other parts) and it looks a little too flimsy

Did you ever get build done? I am looking for a spare bottle top seal on melvico unit. Any ideas where I can buy one? It is the part that seals the top of bottle! Thanks if you are still posting!
