I am going to start doing all grain brewing sometime soon. I had an old 5 gallon round cooler mash tun with a false bottom and I just got a free 10 gallon round cooler so I decided to convert that 10 gallon one using the stuff from the 5 gallon. The false bottom is too small for the 10 gallon but it does look like it makes a decent seal.

My question is, would I be able to just get a very large grain bag to line the inside of the cooler with in order to be extra cautious that the false bottom won't let grains through? Thanks

I found a 2'x3' bag. That's more than enough I think. It wouldn't effect the fly sparge at all would it?

Not as long as you control the flow rates and retard channeling.
