Lets say I have a 20 gal MLT and decide that i want to brew a 5 gal "test" batch with a total grain bill of 10-11lbs. and the grain bed is only maybe 3-4 inches deep. would there be any problem with this scenario?

if batch sparging no if fly sparging...youd want a 10 gal tun. grain bed doesn't matter when batch sparging...
