So the feet on my Mash & Boil basket have finally called it quits after me having to bend them back into shape every so often. On 2 of them the thin metal of the feet have broken, and the 3rd is on the way out as well. It's rather disappointing that it's only made it through ~20-30 brews, but I knew I was picking the cheapest of the all in one options. Honestly this is my only real complaint about the system.

Anyone made their own replacement feet? or maybe used a false bottom for the mash & boil? I was thinking about drilling 3 or 4 holes on the bottom and just fitting in a short bolt (~1inch it looks like) and nut and let those be the new feet? I don't exactly have a welder or anything, but I've got the basics tools.

I found a replacement basket for 30$ here: Mash & Boil Replacement Sparge Basket, but I hate to buy another just for it's feet to break off too. Even the review on their site complains about how crap the feet on it are.

If anyone has already found a solution to this one I'd love to hear it.

Mine are on their way out. Exactly what you described. I don't use my M&B, but it's handy to keep around.
