Making a Mash Tun

I have a great idea for a false bottom for a 5 gallon igloo cooler that I have aquired. My question is this, stainless or not to stainless. I am talking about the ball valve. I have seen many videos and pictures of people using SS for the valve and everything else. Looking through a magazine the other day I noticed that a big name company is selling a starter all grain kit. They offer coolers with brass valves. So now I am not sure what to use.

Any help would be great.

I have a brass ball valve on mine with no issues. Just make sure it is lead free, and you will be fine with brass.
