So I thought, I spent good money on my conicals and still I suffer from no way to control fermentation temperature. Well not any longer!!
First you need to find a Lab Process Chiller (Neslab) on ebay. Keep looking and you can get one for $200 or less. Much less if you have a friend that can recharge the refrigerant if needed.
Next, convert the lid of the conical to Tri Clamp. You can get the fitting without buying the whole kit from Blichmann. TC Bottom Dump Fitting.
Get a stainless steel coil from Foxx and fittings from Swagelok
Assemble
And you have a temperature controlled fermenter. You can even bring up the temp from room temp.
If you need help, please let me know, the costs on this are around $400-$500, not cheap, but cheaper and works much better than peltier junctions.
