Just bottled my Maibock, from a kit I got from Midwest. This was the first lager I did where I actually had refrigerator space to do the lagering. The beer was in the primary for one month, then moved it to secondary. Gravity was 1.012 and put the carboy in the fridge. A month later I moved it to my cooler room (~50F constant) for a month.
I bottled it today and I must say the color is beautiful. The beer cleared nicely. FG 1.011. I only got 5% ABV due to my amateur moves at the beginning; basically, to ensure I had at least 5 gal of beer to bottle at the end, I upped the fermenter volume to 6 gal, not thinking about how that would affect gravity. So for a beer whose recipe says OG of 1.064, I got 1.050.
No biggie. Learning point for me and the beer still tastes awesome. I managed to get 49 x 12oz bottles out of it! Here's some pictures. Will try it out at the end of May (just in time?!).
