As the title says, I'm looking for a clone recipe for Augsburger beer, specifically the dark version but would love the golden recipe as well. This beer was brewed in Chicago in the 50's and 60's by Monarch brewing co, where my great grandfather was the brewmaster. This beer obviously has a lot of meaning to me. The brand was was most recently brewed under licence from Pabst by Steven's Point brewing co. It got discontinued a couple years ago, so my family was pretty bummed.

Any help is appreciated! :mug:

Try contacting Pabst or Steven's Point, they might be willing to give you a recipe since they don't brew it anymore. Who knows, they might even have an old brewing log from your great grandfather that you could take a look at.

Thanks for the post. I've contacted Pabst who is the current owner of the licence and am awaiting a response. Hadn't thought of asking them for records though!
