Long time lurker - first time Keezer build

Having a helluva time uploading pics on here.

Anyway, I've lurked for awhile and finally bit the bullet and built my keezer. Its not perfect and I pretty much figured out I will never be a carpenter but its functional! Thanks for all the other threads that gave me the inspirations!

I might have done a few things wrong and if so point them out! For now onto the pics!

Just FYI- we went with a single tap for now and no collar. We don't drink enough to validate two taps and building a collar (for 2nd keg) would not have kept this at an appropriate height. Wife wanted Dos Equis Amber so thats what it is for the first round! I know its not the best but hey... its beer!

That's beautiful. I was expecting it to not look very good because you talked it down but that's awesome. I'd kill for that keezer. I'm hoping to make mine when I have a good chunk of change laying around someday.

Thanks man! It was fun. Takes a while so my suggestion would be to buy a few things here and there and just start it. It took me about 3 weeks to build this but that was with me buying everything at once (more or less).

I like it! Nice tower you made there. Are you doing anything to cool the tower?

Nothing to cool the tower right now. I am experiencing some foam on the first pour but nothing I am too worried about.

I might try and get a fan blowing some air in there later but for now this will do

I like the iron pipe for the tower! At the top, it's a reducing bushing (terminology??) with a shank screwed into it?

The pipe tower was a build that I ripped from this website.

I modified it for a single tap obviously and I also went with a 10 inch vertical pipe. I thought 6 inch was to short, esp if you use the taller beer glasses.

One thing I would do differently is buy next size up SS shank. I bought the 1 3/4 per the directions but its chrome. I couldnt find a 1 3/4 SS shank and didnt want to chance a clearance issue. From reading on here, it sounds as if the chrome breaks down over time and can "flavor" the beer?

I didnt have an issue with clearance so my suggestion would be a 2 inch SS shank.
