Does anyone know what that flavor is in Granville Island Brewery's Lions Winter Ale? (If you haven't tried it, get some now!).
It's got a chocolate finish, but also something else. It almost tastes like sherry or oak chips or something. Does anyone know what the secret ingredient might be after tasting? I'd love to get that on my strong brown ale recipes.
