I want to see how everyone has there fermentation set up!

Help me get an idea where to go with a good setup everybody!

Do you use SS Conical, Plastic Conical, Carboy, Bucket, maybe even a trash can? Lets see what people have and what works.

Do you use a Fermentation Chamber?

What kind of temperature control do you use? If you use one at all!

Start with buckets- they're easy to clean, safer than glass, and cheaper than any other option. I'd suggest adding a spigot, makes it 10 times easier to transfer to the bottling bucket, plus you never have to open the bucket to take a hydrometer reading, just pull a few ounces out of the spigot.

As for temp control, I do whatever I can within my means right now. Being in Michigan I usually brew in the fall/winter months, so I can keep my ales in the mid-60s in the laundry room with a window open. Then put them on top of our china cabinet in the living room, which gets it up to about 70, but since I like to shoot for 72 I put an electric heat wrap around the fermenter and monitor it once in a while. Cold crashing is done outside in the garage, so far it hasn't gotten down to freezing, I'll have to see what it's like in the next few months.

I started out with buckets and now use Speidel 30L fermenters. I'm very happy with them.

Used to use buckets myself.
Now I'm saving up for another of these!

Old fridge on stc 1000. This is my second and third batch. First is bottled but still conditioning in a closet so I am not yet drinking any of the beer that I brewed. Just put the second bucket in there today.

I have 2 6-gallon buckets, a Mr. Beer LBK, and a couple of 1-gallon glass jugs. I use rope totes in the spare bathtub as swamp coolers. It's not a very sexy system, but it works great and you can't beat the price.

I use two of these for primary and two cornys for secondary, all n a fridge with a Ranco (single stage, unfortunately). I also have two seedling heat mats that will find their way in there for heating, using the temp controller that came with them.

Those are nice buckets. I like the way you can see inside. Where did you get them?

Oh, I use plastic buckets mostly. Glass carboys for secondaries, if I really need to, and for long term aging and sours.

My fermenting buckets are from Williams Brewing. So far I am very happy with them.

Is that the 7 gal?

I stopped by one of my LHBS'es today and they had one of these on display at a very fair price for being a SS conical.

But, It had only one dump-valve which was located about where the conical part meets the cylindrical-part. So I didn't understand how you're able to dump trub, and then yeast from it?

And that's only part of the original amount! I replaced some with case boxes, shipping boxes from my brewing grains, etc. I like them because they have separators in them With multi-layer lids. They stack evenly & keep light out.

I recently changed to these stainless fermenters:
I sold off all my glass carboays, and kept my 2 better bottles for secondaries.

Yeah, they're 7's. The answer is that you basically cannot dump trub. The dip tube doesn't go far enough down. It is located in a good spot to harvest yeast with a good balance of floc/attn though.
