Remember when Odell Woodcuts were reasonably sought after?
Apparently in 2010 I wanted one of them... along with some other weird ****

A couple years ago, an El Cat proxy sent me one of those Capricho Oscuro beers (it might have been B4; bottle date was 2009?) as an extra. Old beer is cool so I chilled that and nonchalantly opened it one night on the couch and... it gushed. I mean, it SPRAYED. And sprayed. And sprayed. And by the time I got it to a sink, it was still spraying. And it continued to do so. And then- finally, it stopped spraying. And then I had roughly 2 oz of beer left. It was not good.

Was it a Fantome collab?

You inspired me to look at my "Wants" over there. Interestingly, the last entry was from September 2013. Your list is a little bit more high end than mine for the most part. Will try to post it here later today.

Not many whales but so many weird wants on my BA list that I had forgotten about...

Bullfrog Et Tu Brut (got that one, it was delicious)
CCB Life is Like (also got that one, was not delicious)
Arcadia BA Shipwreck Porter
New Belgium Eric's Ale
Central Waters BA Barleywine
Westbrook White Thai
Blue Lobster Gold Claw
Viet Speedway
Bruery The Wanderer

This is trickytunadicky's perma-want.

I don't think I ever kept my wants list on BA, as at least initially (maybe still?) it had a 100 beer limit, which always struck me as inadequate, especially now with the growth in beer available. But I probably ought to go back over it and remove some of the weird old bottles from the list. To be sure, some of those early inclusions like Dirty Horse, Isabelle Proximus, or M are still top wants, and things I would much rather acquire than the latest hot commodity pastry stout or fruited sour from some membership club. On the other hand, I can't imagine that beers which were probably never great but were once novel, like
Brew Brothers Antonio's Original Garlic Pils or Magic Hat Thumbsucker would survive a proper pruning.

I seem to remember that one being a vinegar bomb but it was a loooong time ago.

I had a batch five back in 2013 and that was one of the best CC beers I've ever had. Right up there with things like the OG Leon and the cognac sweet stout.

i still have a bottle of this! wonder what that guy is tasting about now. i agree it was super delicious
I did a vert a couple years ago of 2011, 13, and 16. All were delicious, but 2011 tasted very different. Not sure if was the age or recipe, but the old ale was way more prominent.
