So maybe it's my imagination but my Brown Ale seems to be losing it's mouthfeel.

I bottled approx. 5 weeks ago, cracked open one after 2 weeks and have odd the odd one since (cuz it's darn good in mu opinion) But I do think Im losing.... something in the taste. Not as strong, not as much aftertaste...

is it possibly losing the bitterness and flavor/aroma of the hops? That seems to be one of the first things to fade in my homebrews, IMHO.

I've noticed that too... I had a dutch lager that was really tantalizingly hoppy at 2 weeks in the bottle, and after 5, it was just like any other yellow beer... all the hoppy/grassy overtones were gone.

Sometimes that fresh-grass kind of taste is maybe just generic "green-ness" and what we are tasting after say 4 weeks or so is the "final beer". I doubt your beer will change hugely from now on.
 
Homebrew just doesn't keep well unless you chill it to just above freezing. Unlike commercial beers (even craft beers), homebrew is alive. The higher the ABV and bitterness, the longer they last.
 
Or, if you want to keep it, couldn't you just drop some capdem tablets into the bottling bucket before bottling it, that way it isn't alive anymore, at which point wouldn't it keep longer?
 
yes, that would prevent you from being able to carbonate the beer. That yeast has to be alive when you bottle unless you l ike it pretty flat.
