Making a hard raspberry lemonade and want to add a hint of basil flavor. Best way to do that? When to add?

Soak basil leaves in (decent) vodka until you have really basil-y vodka. Then add it to taste?

I make non-alcoholic drinks for a living, you want to make a flavored simple syrup and add that to your drink. Lets say, 4 cups of sugar, 3 cups of water, bring to a boil so all syrup is dissolved, then add a bunch of basil and turn off the heat. Let that steep for 30 mins or so as it cools, take out basil. You now have about a qt or so of basil simple syrup. Sweeten your drink to your tastes with this.

You can do this with anything very easily, ginger, lemongrass, mint, cardamon, cloves, etc.

4:3 ratio? I do 1:1 seems already very sweet to me. BTW this totally off topic but when I have left over simple syrup I make biscuits and put the syrup on top before they bake. Make some awesome sweet biscuits.

Yeah I just suggested that ratio so he's not adding alot of water to his mix. You can really use any ratio you want, 1-1, 1-2, etc. I find you need at a min. of 25% water to get it all to dissolve. I drizzle some syrup on fruits if they're not ripe enough and I feel like eating them, lol.
