Hey there!
So I started sneaking around these forums a couple months back when I decided to start brewing, but never really got around to saying hi. Since joining I became a supporting member because this place has been a crucial resource to my early success and continued growth as a brewer.
Some set backs have befallen the journey though, I changed jobs in the beginning of June, and while riding my bike I was hit by a car and as the thread description states, came out with a broken leg. The worst part is I now have lots of brew and no ability to move or bottle it. That and painkillers are supposedly bad when mixed with a good beer, or at the least increase chance of death or some such.
I am stuck on my couch and thought I'd go ahead and say hello, as I have been trolling the forums insistently to keep myself from dying of boredom and planning to scale up my production, thinking about buying myself some sort of fridge or freeze of craigslist and converting it into a fermentation chamber to try my hand at a lager.
I am located in Northern Virginia close to Washington D.C. And currently only do extract beers, but have also done some wines and planning on trying a mead in a 3 gallon carboy once my leg is out of this cast and I can put weight on it again. I am interested in all grain, just not confident about it yet.
Gonna stop rambling now, the tl;dr for those interested is, "hello! My leg is broken, I like brewing, and I enjoy these forums a lot."
