I just put a 3 gal batch of cider in to secondary, and there was some leftover so I put it in a soda bottle, just because I didn't know what else to do and the soda bottle was there. Of course I dont' have an airlock for it, so for now I just squeezed it a little to get the O2 out and give room for expansion. I was hoping to keep this little amount to test with acid blend or other stuff, but am I risking anything by not letting it breath? Maybe unscrew every few days and let it burp? If its ok to keep it there for a week or two I can just put it in with my big batch for bottling.

I have never done cider this way but I have finished ginger beer this way the ginger beer did not spoil. The longer it is in the bottle the more often you will need to burp it. With ginger beer you must burp it twice a day, I skipped one once and got a platic bottle bomb. Sticky sweet messy ginger beer on the cieling, wall, counter & floor.
