I found that using one of these with a power drill makes circulating the wort in the kettle much easier to cool than constantly stirring with a spoon. You just have to use low speed at first to avoid HSA, but once the temp is low, you can crank it up and aerate the wort at the same time. I'd say I got it done in half the time that it takes with a spoon, just because I'm not stopping all the time to rest my arm. In the winter, the speed of the temp drop will be amazing!
