I really want to make a lavender beer, but before I spend 10+ dollars online for culinary lavender, I wanted to know if I can use the plant I have growing in the front yard. I've heard some varieties can be high in camphor and that sounds bad, but the one in the garden smells awesome, and I just want to make sure it's good to cook with. Is there anyone on here who could help me identify this. Might be a long shot, but there's got to be some botanist brewers right?
