Lactose sugar

What is the best way to dissolve lactose sugar into my 10 gallon boil If I am using a ssb e brewing kettle? Should I do a separate de concoction then add it to my boil kettle to avoid scorching?

Just add it to the last 10 min of your boil and stir .
