I will probably do a kitchen sink beer in a few weeks since I will transfer my IPA to secondary and I want to put the yeast cake to good use. The problem is that I have no idea what kind of beer I could brew with the ingredients that I have in my closet. I want to keep the beer quite simple around 4-5 abv, preferably not a very dark one, brownish and amber would be okay though a wit could also be refreshing. I'm not very keen on making it very hoppy since I already have a rye IPA fermenting.
I would appreciate any suggestions what to make of these ingredients.
Here is what I got:
Wyeast 1056 yeast cake
44 lbs pale malt
4.4 lbs pilsner
4.4 lbs wheat
10 oz cara-hell (25 EBC)
10 oz chocolate (400 EBC)
2.2 lbs roasted barley
2.2 lbs cara-pils
2.2 lbs jaggery
2.2 lbs special b
2.8 oz saaz
1.58 oz east kent goldings
1.76 oz magnum
1.76 oz williamette (around 3 years old, stored in the freezer.. probably of no use)
