yay? nay? i haven't heard too much about this one. Which could be either good or bad, not sure. What is your vote?

Since you're in Oregon, go to Bi-Mart. Pretty sure they are even cheaper there. I have 2 of those burners. Make it over to Bend and I'll give you one for a 6-pack.
 
I don't know the quality of the "King Kookers" so it is hard for me to say if it is a good deal or not. But what I will say is that I tried to save some money on a burner before and I was disappointed after a few uses. I recently upgraded my stand with a Bayou burner like this one http://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/sq14_propane_burner.htm and it made a world of a difference.
I recommend that burner and then buying the pot separately.
 
The King Kookers are tough as nails! I've had mine since 93-94 and I'm still using it. Never had a single problem with it except when I cooked the gas hose on the stove itself (not a pretty sight).

received mine today, boiled 9-10 gallons in about 40minutes. Everything seems very sturdy.


BUT, one of the rivets on the handle leaks, looks like I will be calling amazon...
