am i better off with something like this or a 10 gallon aluminum pot.

Well its only 7.5 gallons...which is gonna be rough considering you start a boil with 6.5 gallons (or more) of wort.

Its doable, but a 10 gallon pot would give you more leeway for preventing boilovers, or doing a 90 minute boil if using pils.
