About a year ago I saw a video of a home made tool that someone made from nuts, bolts and washers for creating a flat area where the weldless ball valve attaches to the keggle. I think the idea behind it was that the keggle would be less likely to leak if the washer were on a flat surface. I've tried numerous searches to find the video and have been unsuccessful. Does anyone recall this video and if so could you provide a link if you have it?

I dont think you need to do this. Many people (including me, with two keggles) on here have been successful using a weldless fitting kit like you would get at bargainfittings or somewhere similar without leaks.

This pic is all you should need. I haven't seen a video. Sorry!

Yep, I dunno why people are so worried about this and insist on reinventing the wheel.

I have 3 weldless fittings in my keggle, and mash tun and havent had a single leak. Just get a silicon washer from bargainfittings or somewhere and roll with it.
