Who out there has bought some of their economy kegs? The discount ones with the loose rubber, 4 for $75--seems like an awfully low price these days. Are they a decent buy, or on their last legs? Would you buy them again, or recommend them to a friend?

even with shipping 4 kegs shipped to me for $97.93 is a good deal in my book. But I already have 5 for my 2 tap keezer and am not in the market.

was going to order them the other day but am on vacation next week and dont want them sitting outside or to bother a neighbor to bring them in... HBT, dont buy all the kegs!

There is a thread somewhere about this. Most people who ordered said the tops and bottoms on the majority weren't even loose. And they all held pressure.

Good deal in my book. I was gonna order some but ended up getting mine locally.

I got four from him and can't even find a loose spot. Great shape and a great deal. I want to get more from him. At one point he did a 4 for $60 deal. Even if you have an issue he will correct it.

Bobby_M,

I'll give you $10 for one of them. Heck, I'll even go 2 for $20. (Thats quite a profit for you, no?) :)

These are on the cheap end of what he sells, but PedalBiker is a vendor on here (owner of keggle brewing) and is a stand up guy. I havent purchased the loose end cornies but other threads have turned up here asking the same thing, and people have had good results.

If they're complete ****, I'm sure he wouldnt sell them. I've never had anything but positive experiences with keggle brewing....

They are good kegs. I picked up six of them the other day and only one of them was with a loose top. All the others with solid tops and bottoms. The kegs themselves look just as good as the others I have bought from him that were NOT loose bottom/top kegs. All the posts, lids, diptubes and poppets were in great shape.

Luckily I'm able to pick them up from him and save a butt load in shipping cost.

Got 4 here as well, a few days ago they arrived. I was blown away, especially after expecting loose rubber. There are NO physical flaws on any of them, and all 4 were holding pressure and still had caustic from cleaning. I couldn't be happier with them unless they had come with beer in them.
