What kind of wrench do I need to remove this post for cleaning?

Gaspost.jpg

I have four kegs with three different types of posts. The other two were simple hex nuts and I have wrenches that will work. Has nobody heard of interchangeable parts????

I found i needed a 7/8 ths wrench for my kegs. Home Depot let me down, but Auto Zone had a wrench with 12 point star on the other end for $5

7/8 or 11/16; all of mine are 7/8, but I have one that I need 11/16 for. :mug: Enjoy your draft beer!

If yout going to go with a socket make sure it's a deep walled socket

Thanks. Got it. I actually had a deep socket that fit. I just didn't think to use a 12-point socket.

I recently purchased a few kegs with that style post from ebay. Once the post was off I found that the corny style post also fit on that. I had extra posts and replaced them with the corny plugs to avoid one keg with a different post style. Saved as a backup. I just double checked fit and it has been holding pressure for about two weeks.
