I received an old Danby Kegerator from my nephew. Holds temp. nicely and not in bad shape just some cleaning and cosmetic work. The ball lock I got is 1/4" and the spigot is 3/16". I picked up a 1/4" barbed fitting which I plan on connecting the 1/4" tubing to the 3/16" stub off the spigot. My question is there a problem with this or do I just experiment with pressures to get the best flow without too much foam?

I always use 3/16th for beer, about 10 ft. 1/4" just doesn't provide enough resistance and foaming is a problem regardless of pressure.

Thanks. I figured that. It's off to Lowes for a 3/16" barbed connector and hose clamps. I'll have to go see my Internet supplier for 10' of 3/16" tubing.

You should run one continuos length of tubing from the disconnet to the faucet. Splicing the beer line will contribute to foaming.
