Since I am a homebrewer and only deal with Corny kegs I've been without a clue on this question. Maybe you experienced guys can fill me in a tad more on how this works.
As I understand it, if you purchase a keg full of commercial beer for home kegerators (from BevMo or where ever) before the old keg can be turned in it has to be emptied or otherwise whatever beverage is left in there gets dumped. Assuming one had a few liters of beer left, how bad of an idea is it to transfer (using the tap) the remainder into a Corny hit it with gas and draw from it again later?
I ran into a situation where someone had quite a bit of beer left over and he had to take the keg back for the deposit, I wondered out loud how well it would work to store it in a Corny for later usage.
Thoughts?
