If I am buying a disconnect with a 1/4 inch barb on it, what type of hosing should I buy? I am looking here:

http://stores.kegconnection.com/Categories.bok?category=*Components:Hose

There is beer (3/16), gas (1/4) and gas red (5/16). Which do I need for the the in and out. I am assuming beer for the out and one onf the gasses for the in, but which gas? Thanks for your help, just don't want to waste time buying things that won't work with what I got.

I like K.I.S.S.

I use 3/16 beer line for everything. One size barb everywhere (1/4"), one size hose everywhere, one price, one part number, one coil on the shelf for the next adjustment/project.

You don't need a different size line for gas, beer, or anything. That is unless your beer runs are exceptionally long (go 1/4"), or you pour enough beer to starve gas because of the 3/16 ID. And THAT's a LOT of beer!

EDIT: If you've already got proper gas line, or regulator fittings, or some other reason to use 1/4" gas line size... Then I can see it. I use the swivel connects on MFL disconnects so I can take any hose from anywhere, and reuse it for anything else.
